Quilt Shop Hosts Royal Reception

When news of the wedding for Great Britain’s Prince William and Kate Middleton was announced last year, Jeannette Kitlan, owner of Endless Mountains Quiltworks, was thrilled beyond belief.

“I love royal weddings,” she said. “As soon as I heard about it, I knew
I had to do something special.”

Unable to be in London for the actual event, Kitlan opted to host her own
wedding party at her shop in Tunkhannock. She opened her doors at 5 a.m.
for people to join her in watching the ceremony an hour later.

Local Quiltmaker Named Woman Entrepreneur of the Year

Jeannette G. Kitlan was making quilted Bounty napkins at Procter & Gamble
before she set out to make real quilts - founding Endless Mountain Quiltworks in 2001.

Since then, she has taught hundreds of others the American craft and made
Tunkhannock a destination for makers and appreciators of handmade quilts,
work that earned her the designation of Woman Entrepreneur of the Year at a
luncheon Tuesday from the Small Business Development Center.
